Bisphenol AP is an important organic chemical raw material and an important derivative of phenol and acetone, which is mainly used to produce polycarbonate, epoxy resin, polysulfone resin, polyphenylene ether resin and other polymer materials. It can also be used in plasticizer, flame retardant, antioxidant, heat stabilizer, rubber antioxidant, pesticide, paint and other fine chemical products.

The European Union believes that bisphenol A can precipitate into food and drink when heated, which may disturb the metabolic process of human body, affect infant development and immunity, and even cause cancer. The European Union banned the production of plastic bottles containing bisphenol A from March 1, 2011, and banned the import of any bisphenol A plastic bottles into member countries from June. At present, most supermarkets in China have removed bottles marked with "PC", and most bottles on shelves are bottles marked with "PP" material.

It is suggested that when purchasing and using plastic products (especially baby products), pay attention to check whether the product description label contains this chemical component, and try to choose products without bisphenol.
