Molecular weight 119.2, boiling point 246~248℃, flash point 260℃, freezing point -21℃, boiling point 247℃.
Properties: Colorless or yellowish viscous liquid, easily soluble in water and alcohol, slightly soluble in ether. Combustible. Non-toxic, it is a new solvent for selective desulfurization and decarbonization with excellent performance, and it has the advantages of high selectivity, low solvent consumption, remarkable energy saving effect and difficult degradation.
Uses: This product is mainly used to remove hydrogen sulfide from natural gas, refinery gas, synthetic gas and coal gas, and to decarbonize industrial gases such as synthetic ammonia. It can also be used as a monomer for synthesizing medicines and coatings.
Widely used in oil field gas and coal gas desulfurization and purification emulsifier and acid gas absorbent, acid-base control agent, polyurethane foam catalyst. Carbon dioxide can be removed from synthetic ammonia with the participation of activator, so it has been gradually popularized in the absorption of carbon dioxide in flue gas in recent years. In addition, MDEA can also be used as insecticide, emulsifier, semi-finished product of fabric auxiliary agent, intermediate of anti-tumor drug nitrogen mustard hydrochloride, catalyst of urethane coating, fiber auxiliary agent, etc. At the same time, MDEA is also a drying accelerator of paint.
