Uses: N- hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI), an important chemical raw material, is widely used in organic synthesis. It is mainly used as an intermediate in the synthesis of chemical medicines and pesticides. For example, NHPI can be used as a raw material to prepare derivatives of acetaldehyde oxime, RNA peptide conjugates of enzymes as anticancer and antiviral drugs, oxazinone amino acid and oxazinone N- carboxymethyl derivatives as antibiotics, and thienopyrimidinediones as regulators of autoimmune diseases. In recent years, the biomimetic catalytic system for hydrocarbon selective oxidation reaction has been studied. Because it contains N-OH and is easy to generate free radicals, it can be used as an intermediate for transferring electrons in electrochemical oxidation reaction, as well as an organic catalytic system for hydrocarbon selective oxidation reaction under mild conditions. It is also an important substrate for studying free radical catalytic reaction at present.
